Fabric Requirements & Notions

The tops are designed for jersey fabric (knits).

For the oversize tee, you need fabric with a nice drape such as the semi-transparent jersey with slub-effect or soft rayon jersey.

The top with envelope neckline works with all kinds of jersey fabric. We have used cotton jersey and rayon jersey.

The slit in the top with slit neckline needs firmer fabric, such as Ponte and other double knits, to keep its shape. But that also depends on the interfacing.

Apart from the fabric, you will need:

  • Interfacing for the facing on the top with slit neckline (about 30 cm (0.3 yards)).

The fabric requirement chart below is a guesstimate. How much fabric you need depends on a lot of things: Your size and alterations, if you make any design changes, how long you make your top, the width of your fabric, and if your fabric has direction.
