The blazer jacket is originally designed for middle-weight woven fabric. But it works for some knits too.
We have used coating, wool, linen and Pone >de Roma knit, but you can use many different fabrics as well.

Apart from the fabric, you will need:

  • Lining fabric (see how much in the chart)
  • Interfacing for the facings and the collar ( About 65 cm (25”))
  • 1 button with a diameter of 25 mm (1”)
  • 2 shoulder pads (1 cm (3/8”) thick and 2 sleeve heads (you can also made these from batting or fleece)

FABRIC REQUIREMENTS

The fabric amount needed for the blazer jacket depends on a lot of factors: The fabric width, any design changes, and if you use fabric with direction.

The fabric requirement charts on this page are guesstimates. If you want to know exactly how much fabric you need, lay out your pattern pieces and measure how much space they take.
