About the Maria Mix & Match Knit Dress
The MariaDenmark Maria Dress was obviously named after Maria because it’s her favorite quick and easy dress to sew. It’s a knit dress – or more accurately (at least) 6 dresses in one pattern.
With two different bodices (high neckline and lower U-neckline) and three different skirts (bell-skirt, pencil skirt and full skirt), PLUS with all the hacks you can do with small design-changes, this has all the chances of becoming your go-to knit dress pattern too!
Choose between making 3/4 length sleeves or short sleeves and finish the neckline with a binding for a polished look or ribbing in self-fabric, for a more relaxed look.
The pattern also has an optional belt and cuffs included.
Because there are so many pattern pieces included in the pattern, you get 3 different pattern sheets, each with one combination including sleeves and cuffs. You can then choose which combination you would like to begin with. When you want to change the combination, you can download and print the individual pieces (skirts and bodices in print-at-home format) to supplement what you have already printed.
The MariaDenmark Maria Mix&Match Dress pattern has all sizes from 34 to size 54 included! Choose your pattern size based on your measurements. I recommend that you merge between sizes for a custom-fitted pattern. You can see more about merging sizes in THIS BLOG POST.
The pattern is a .PDF download, which you will be able to download right after ordering. You’ll need a recent version of Adobe Acrobat Reader (get it for free HERE) installed on your computer.
Save the pattern to your computer and open the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader before you print. Browsers sometimes print inaccurately.
You will also receive a confirmation e-mail with links to the downloads (check your spam filter if you don’t see it within 5 minutes). You can then print the pattern on your home printer (A4 or Letter) and easily assemble it following the instructions included in the instructions. You can also bring your A0/copyshop file to be printed at your local copy shop or at places like Patternsy.
The dresses in this pattern are suitable for medium-weight knit fabrics.
For winter I like a nice Ponte de Roma fabric or other double knits. For summer cotton jersey is perfect.
